Bushes are made by us of 4 kinds. v Bi-metal Bushes -steel back with Cu-Pb alloy lining. used for high loads. v Hard Bronze – 90% Cu and 10% Sn alloy, are used for heavy pressures, especially v for applications like connecting rod bushes and valve guides. v Red brass bushes- 85% Cu, 5% Sn, 5% Pb, and 5% Zn alloy, used for water pump impellers and slow-speed engines v Aluminum bushes -high load carrying capacity, fatigue, strength and thermal conductivity, excellent corrosion resistance and low cost.
